At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Selector Perishables to work with a leading wholesale company in Elkton. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately building pallets in a temperature-controlled distribution center, working in environments ranging from 30 degrees in the cooler to -20 degrees in the freezer.

Shift Patterns

  • Multiple schedules available, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rates

  • 22.00 USD hourly

Essential Requirements for Selector Perishables

  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs of product regularly.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet business needs.

Desirable Requirements for Selector Perishables

  • High school diploma or GED; college coursework or technical education is a plus.
  • Previous receiving or warehouse experience.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Proficiency with email, word-processing, spreadsheets, and WMS applications.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

Role Responsibilities for Selector Perishables

  • Select damage-free product to build pallets neatly according to customer specifications.
  • Verify product against pick tickets and case labels to ensure accuracy.
  • Safely operate Material Handling Equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks after training.
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy standards while ensuring food safety and facility cleanliness.
  • Report inventory discrepancies and damage promptly to supervisors.

Location: Elkton. The position is based in a temperature-controlled distribution facility.
