At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician 1 to work with Deckers Skilled in Mooresville. This role involves performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, modification, and repair activities on buildings, conveyors, and electrical systems. You will handle preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy industrial manufacturing equipment, working with PLC-controlled systems, pneumatic power, and electricity up to 480 volts.

  • Night shift and weekend premiums are available

Pay Rates

  • 25.16 - 26.91 USD hourly

Essential Requirements for Maintenance Technician 1

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals
  • Ability to work with high and low voltage, AC and DC
  • Experience working effectively under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Highly motivated, a team player, and a self-starter
  • Experienced with hand and power tools
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

Desirable Requirements for Maintenance Technician 1

  • 2-4 years of experience with facility maintenance in a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation
  • 2-4 years of experience working around conveyors, pneumatics, AC/DC motor skills, and industrial electrical systems
  • Knowledge of OSHA compliance is a plus
  • Conversational Spanish skills are a plus
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with a strong customer focus
  • Ability to work as a team member by interacting and communicating with co-workers and managers in a cooperative, constructive manner
