At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a CNC Machinist to work with Rassey Skilled in Shelby Twp. We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in operating CNC machinery and a keen eye for detail. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components, working closely with engineers to ensure production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality.

Shift Patterns

  • 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday–Friday.
  • When available: Up to 50 hours per week (7:00 am to 5:30 pm).

Pay Rates

  • 23.00 - 28.00 USD hourly

Essential Requirements for CNC Machinist

  • Must have experience setting up CNC lathes, including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and loading/unloading parts.
  • Must have the ability to program CNC machines using CAM software and read/interpret G & M codes.
  • Must have the ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) and perform in-process inspections.
  • Must have the ability to set up and operate Bridgeport and manual lathes when required.

Desirable Requirements for CNC Machinist

  • Prior exposure to CAM programming beyond basic edits.
  • Comfort running Bridgeport or manual lathes for secondary ops.
  • Overhead crane/Hi-Lo operation — Ability to safely move materials and large components.

Role Responsibilities for CNC Machinist

  • Operate CNC lathe machines and other related equipment to produce precision parts.
  • Program CNC machines using CAM software, ensuring accurate specifications are met.
  • Set up tooling and fixtures for machining operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
  • Assemble components as required, ensuring that all parts fit together correctly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.
