Fabricator MIG/TIG Welder - Brownstown, MI

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Fabricator MIG/TIG Welder to work with Watson Engineering Skilled in Taylor. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team, where you will be responsible for reading blueprints, operating fabrication equipment, and assembling metal components to meet high-quality specifications.

Shift Patterns

  • Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Some weekday and Saturday overtime may be required.

Pay Rates

  • 24.00 - 28.00 USD hourly

Must-have requirements for Fabricator MIG/TIG Welder

  • Must have 2–3 years of metal fabrication experience.
  • Must have blueprint reading, layout, and measuring skills.
  • Must have experience with welding, cutting, bending, and assembling metal parts.
  • Must have knowledge of shop math and basic measurements.
  • Must have experience operating fabrication equipment and inspecting finished parts.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Desirable requirements for Fabricator MIG/TIG Welder

  • Ability to operate MIG/TIG welders, press brakes, punch presses, shears, and grinders.
  • Ability to build fixtures and templates from drawings.
  • Ability to use measurements and shop math to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Role for Fabricator MIG/TIG Welder

  • Fabricate and assemble structural metal products according to blueprints and work instructions.
  • Measure, mark, cut, bend, grind, and shape metal materials to specifications.
  • Position, align, fit, and weld metal parts together using MIG/TIG welding techniques.
  • Inspect finished parts to verify they meet quality and customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while meeting production goals.

Location: Taylor. This position is based in the Taylor area.
