Structural Welder/Fabricator
At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Structural Welder/Fabricator to work with a leading company in the steel construction sector in Livonia. We are seeking an experienced professional who can read and build from blueprints, perform high-quality MIG welding, and complete accurate fit-up on structural steel components.
Shift Patterns
- Monday - Friday 6am to 2:30pm
- Occasional overtime during the week until 4:30pm
- Occasional 6 to 8 hour shifts on Saturday
Pay Rates
- 27.00 - 30.00 USD hourly
Must-have requirements for Structural Welder/Fabricator
- Ability to read and build from structural blueprints
- Ability to read a tape measure confidently and precisely
- Structural MIG welding experience
- Ability to layout, tack, and assemble steel components
- Experience with grinders, saws, and plasma cutting tools
- Commitment to OSHA and shop safety practices
Desirable requirements for Structural Welder/Fabricator
- FCAW (Flux-core) welding skills
- Basic TIG welding knowledge
- Strong interpretation of welding symbols
- Experience with press brake machine operation
- Background in custom or structural fabrication projects
Role for Structural Welder/Fabricator
- Interpret detailed blueprints to build structural components
- Perform structural MIG welding on carbon and mild steel in multiple positions
- Measure, layout, fit, and tack structural parts
- Operate shop tools including saws, grinders, and plasma cutters
- Verify dimensions and weld quality to ensure overall accuracy
