CNC Machinist

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a CNC Machinist to work with a leading manufacturing company in Shelby Twp. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components, working closely with engineers to meet production goals.

Shift Patterns:

• 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday–Friday.
• When available: Up to 50 hours per week (7:00 am to 5:30 pm).

Pay Rates:

• 23.00 - 28.00 USD hourly

Essential Requirements for CNC Machinist:

• Experience setting up CNC lathes, including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and loading/unloading parts.
• Ability to program CNC machines using CAM software and read/interpret G & M codes.
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) and performing in-process inspections.
• Ability to set up and operate Bridgeport and manual lathes when required.

Desirable Requirements for CNC Machinist:

• Prior exposure to CAM programming beyond basic edits.
• Comfort running Bridgeport or manual lathes for secondary operations.
• Overhead crane and Hi-Lo operation experience to safely move materials and large components.

Role for CNC Machinist:

• Operate CNC lathe machines and related equipment to produce precision parts.
• Program CNC machines using CAM software to ensure accurate specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot production issues.
• Assemble components and use hand tools for adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
